ANALYST

Clovis, California or Newport Beach, California

IDEAL Capital Group is seeking an acquisitions Analyst to join our multifamily real estate investment team. The Analyst will play a critical role in evaluating and executing investment opportunities across the multifamily sector, supporting senior professionals throughout all phases of the acquisition process. This position offers significant exposure to institutional-level underwriting, capital structuring, and portfolio strategy with a young, fast-growing, and entrepreneurial firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Financial Underwriting: Develop and maintain complex financial models for prospective multifamily acquisitions, incorporating sensitivity analyses and scenario testing.
• Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on multifamily submarkets, including vacancy, absorption, rental growth, and supply pipeline, utilizing both proprietary and third-party data sources.
• Investment Materials: Prepare detailed investment committee memoranda, presentations, and supporting analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
• Due Diligence: Assist with all aspects of due diligence, including traveling to sites, review of leases, financial statements, debt structures, environmental/engineering reports, and third-party reports.
• Professional Development: Build relationships within the real estate community through industry conferences, client events, and networking opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• 1–3+ years of relevant experience in real estate acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, or a comparable analytical role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline with a strong academic track record.
• Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the presence and professionalism to interact with senior executives, investors, and counterparties.
• Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

LOCATION & TRAVEL

The Analyst will have the opportunity to work in either our Clovis headquarters or our Newport Beach satellite office. The Analyst is expected to travel to new acquisition opportunities and to periodically visit IDEAL's headquarters in Clovis.

COMPENSATION

• Annual Salary: Negotiable depending on experience.
• 401(K): Eligible after 12 months of employment. Company matches dollar to dollar up to 10% of the employee’s salary, 3% safe harbor contributions, plus optional Company profit sharing.
• PTO: Two weeks paid vacation plus standard company sick leave.
• Health Insurance: Company pays 100% of the health insurance, dental, and vision for employee only.
