Job Overview:

The Assistant Technical Designer is responsible for supporting the Technical Design team in daily tasks related to garment fit and measurement specifications for an assigned category.

A successful Assistant Technical Designer adjusts to changing priorities, shows attention to detail, and is open to any project while learning the Technical Design phase of the product creation process and helping Technical Designers interface with all cross functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sample check in, measure, review sample details, enter information into tech packs in preparation for fitting.
• Assist the technical team in processing T.O.P comments as needed and directed by the manager.
• Maintain sample organization in Tech area.
• Understand general specifications and grading, construction, basic fit issues, and flat sketching.
• Utilize design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel to create and manage technical documents.
• Ability to work in a productive and effective manner in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist in preparing technical packages by inputting measurements, pictures, sketches, and any required additional information.

Qualifications:

• Graduate with degree in Fashion Technical Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 0-2 years’ experience as an assistant Technical Designer
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and overseas factories.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to keep accurate data and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic knowledge of sewing, garment construction
• Good follow-up and follow-through skills on all tasks and projects.
• Excellent attention to detail, well organized, and accurate.
• Positive attitude and the willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Pattern making and draping experience is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Gerber Accumark.

Experience with Full circle.
