Job Description

The Medical Scribe will assist physicians and other providers with documentation during a clinical encounter between the physician and patient by providing real-time entry of the physician's interaction with the patient.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides accurate direct entry of comprehensive clinical documentation into the EMR according to established practices and defined formats.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge and the ability to navigate the electronic medical record
• Ability to understand diverse accents and dialects, as well as varying dictation styles.
• Demonstrates an understanding of information workflow, attention to detail, keen listening skills, and strong multi-tasking abilities
• Maintain confidentiality of patient-related information (HIPAA); accessing patient health i nformation as needed for further clarification .
