Job Description

Green's Toyota is seeking a professional and efficient Part-Time Phone Operator to manage our high volume of inbound calls. This crucial role involves answering incoming calls for a busy car dealership, directing callers to the appropriate department or person, and providing basic information. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a professional phone manner, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced. environment.

• Manage a multi-line phone system to answer and route all incoming calls.
• Direct calls to the appropriate internal department, including sales, service, and parts.
• Take accurate messages and relay them to staff members promptly.
• Provide basic information to callers with general inquiries.
• Update internal phone directories and contact lists as needed.
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism and a friendly demeanor on all calls.
• Assist with other administrative and clerical tasks as requested.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a phone-based or switchboard operator role is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent verbal communication and clear speaking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills to quickly assess caller needs and direct them appropriately.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to dealership-specific procedures.
• Comfortable working in a small office setting and managing a high volume of calls.
• Does well working alone
• Reliable transportation, reliable and attendance a must
• Must be able to work some Holidays and Weekends. Hours are Monday - Friday 4pm to 8pm and alternating Saturdays 9:30am to 8pm.
• Must pass background check and drug screening

Hours This is a part-time position with the following schedule: * Monday - Friday: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM * Alternating Saturdays: 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM * Some Holidays - Memorial Day, Labor Day
