Boundary is a digital design studio based in sunny El Segundo, CA. We work with enterprise and startup clients, offering a range of services that include brand identity and strategy consulting, digital product design, UX/UI, web and mobile app development, and creative marketing.

Our current clients include Red Bull, MUD\WTR, KAST, Traackr, Noble 33, The AI Fund, and Evan Funke, to name a few.

We are looking for a detail-oriented senior web designer who obsesses over UX/UI, can manage a team of creatives, and really thinks about the strategy and business outcomes of our clients.

What you’ll be doing on the daily:

• Concept and design digital products and experiences across a range of client categories (including user journey mapping, website and UX/UI design, and prototyping)
• Work directly with clients to design and plan features and functionality of new products
• Help coordinate design sprints with project managers
• Review designs from team members and provide constructive feedback
• Present your work to clients and explain to them why it’s so amazing
• Collaborate with internal and external developers to ensure the team’s designs translate effectively into code

The skills you’ll need to pay the bills:

• 5+ years of digital design experience in a creative agency or in-house
• Expert understanding of UX and e-commerce design principles
• Experience building modular design systems
• A joy for tackling difficult problems
• Confidence articulating and pitching your ideas
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and accurately set and meet deadlines
• Comfort working autonomously, leading a project from start to finish, as well as working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator

Earn bonus points if you:

• Also have a  background in branding , many of our designers enjoy crafting visual identities alongside designing beautiful interfaces.
• Have experience designing for medical interfaces (web-based and embedded)
• Can jam with motion graphics tools like After Effects and Principle
• Enjoy mentoring other creatives

Key things to know

• This is a full-time position but we’re open to freelance to full-time
• This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles, with in-office days at our El Segundo office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We’re open to making an exception for the right candidate if fully remote.

Compensation

• $110,000-$130,000/yr
