Job Description

Piper Companies is seeking a QC Senior Microbiologist to join a growing biotech team in Exton, PA to supports aseptic product manufacturing through microbiological testing and environmental monitoring.

Please note this is a fully onsite role in Exton, PA.

Responsibilities:

• Perform sterility, endotoxin, pH, and osmolality testing on raw materials and drug products
• Conduct gram stains, growth promotion, sub-culturing, and general cell culture
• Lead Sterile Media Fill Trials and support testing
• Perform environmental monitoring (viable/non-viable) in cleanrooms
• Author and revise SOPs, qualification protocols, and reports
• Investigate OOS results and support root cause analysis
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, and Facilities teams
• Train other employees as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
• 4-8 years of microbiology experience in biologics or pharma
• Experience with BacT rapid sterility assay, endotoxin testing, environmental monitoring, and cell therapy
• Strong knowledge of GMP, aseptic processing, and mammalian cell culture
• Familiarity with lab equipment (microscopes, pH meters, incubators)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive base salary: $95,000-$125,000
• Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Sick Leave if required by law
• Onsite in Exton, PA
