Position Summary:

The Manager is responsible for creating a positive and productive work environment, upholding strict health and safety standards, and managing operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for delivering excellent food and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example to foster a positive and motivated work culture.
  • Ensure food safety, quality, and cleanliness while maintaining a well-organized. workspace.
  • Manage seasonal menu development (minimum two changes per year) and weekly lunch and dinner features.
  • Monitor labor costs, ensuring compliance with company standards and operational efficiency.
  • Manage staff scheduling, enforce workplace policies, and maintain compliance with state and company regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with Maine State health codes and enforce staff uniform and cleanliness standards.
  • Oversee inventory management, food ordering, and storage protocols to optimize costs.
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are clean, well-maintained, and functioning efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with a commitment to employee development.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety, labor management, and cost control practices.
  • Passion for high-quality food and exceptional customer experiences.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $1,400/week from May 1, 2025, to October 29, 2025 (approximately 60-hour workweek).
  • $1,200/week from October 30, 2025, to April 30, 2026 (45-50 hour workweek).
  • Bonuses:
  • $2,500 bonus on November 1, 2025.
  • $2,500 bonus on May 1, 2026 (bonuses contingent on completing the employment term).
  • Paid Time Off:
  • Three weeks of paid vacation per year, with usage guidelines:
  • Cannot be used before November 5, 2025.
  • Must be used before May 1, 2026.
  • A maximum of two weeks can be taken consecutively.
  • Retirement Benefits:
  • 401(k) with a 1.5% match starting August 2025.
  • Days Off:
  • Two days off per week, with flexibility to bank additional days if a sixth workday is occasionally required.
  • Health Insurance:
  • Health insurance options for management are under development and will be introduced at a later date.
