TITLE: Senior Data Engineer and Analytics Delivery Manager
LOCATION: Santa Monica, CA (Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)
ANTICIPATED DURATION: 5 months
NOTE: I am not able to work on a C2C basis or provide a visa transfer/sponsorship at this time.
Responsibilities:
- Lead analytics delivery management, including leading status calls, tracking progress across initiatives, and collaborating with senior business analysts.
- Manage project delivery using Atlassian Jira, including Kanban, Epics, Stories, Tasks, and Test Execution.
- Build and optimize scalable data models in Snowflake, including scripting, performance tuning, and container management.
- Develop dynamic SQL stored procedures to handle variable logic and parameters in Snowflake.
- Configure and maintain Snowpipe for continuous data ingestion and set up automated tasks within Snowflake.
- Automate data refreshes and maintenance of dynamic tables in Snowflake.
- Automate real-time or near-real-time data ingestion streams using Snowpipe.
- Use dynamic tables for data transformations and aggregations.
- Work with Python and SQL skills within data engineering projects.
- Participate in a hybrid work schedule, with three days on-site in Santa Monica, CA, and two days remote.
- Support a one-year contract with options to extend.
Requirements:
- Experience with project delivery management tools such as Atlassian Jira (Kanban, Epics, Stories, Tasks).
- Strong Snowflake skills, including working with containers, scripting, pipeline building, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in SQL, including creating dynamic stored procedures in Snowflake.
- Experience configuring Snowpipe for continuous data ingestion and setting up automated tasks.
- Knowledge of Python within data engineering contexts.
- Ability to support hybrid work arrangements.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with real-time data streaming and dynamic table transformations.
- Prior work in a contract role with options to extend.
- Previous experience working in Santa Monica, CA, or similar environments.
- Experience managing multiple initiatives and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $70.00 to $80.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
