What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Volunteer and Marketing Coordinator to lead our volunteer initiatives and enhance our outreach efforts. If you have a Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) and 1  year of experience in a related field, we want to hear from you!

Key Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of best practices in volunteer management and public relations
  • Proven ability to work effectively with volunteers and diverse community groups
  • Familiarity with non-profit organizational structures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A flexible work schedule to accommodate various events and activities

What You’ll Do:

  • Enhance Volunteer Experience: Lead initiatives to create a rewarding and engaging environment for our volunteers.
  • Recruitment & Engagement: Develop and implement innovative strategies to attract and retain volunteers, expanding The Banquet’s outreach efforts.
  • Committee Support: Prepare materials and manage agendas for the Volunteer Experience Committee, including employee experience surveys.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Oversee the volunteer calendar, manage group sign-ups, and ensure effective communication prior to service.
  • Marketing Leadership: Direct marketing efforts across newsletters, social media, and promotional materials. Create and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that includes events, media relations, and branding.
  • Community Outreach: Represent The Banquet at community events, volunteer fairs, and training sessions to promote our mission and recruit volunteers.
  • Partnership Building: Cultivate relationships with community organizations, corporations, and groups to broaden our volunteer base.
  • Meal Service Supervision: Supervise meal serving at least once a week, ensuring a positive experience for both volunteers and guests.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Financial Manager and Food Service Director to maintain accurate meal records.
  • Media Engagement: Conduct interviews with local media as requested by the Executive Director. Take the lead role in coordinating all Banquet social media efforts.
