Pre-press/ Graphic Designer

We are a High-end Digital Graphics and Printing firm in Orange County currently hiring for a full time prepress technician with layout and design skills. Must be willing to handle high paced pre-press operations.

We service multiple companies with a large volume of projects that demand attention to detail and quality. The operator will independently work on projects and must have organized skills and qualities to service the needs of the clients.

• The ideal candidate should have the following abilities:
• Experience in pre-flighting clients electronic files for digital print, offset, large format with cut files, preparing variable data and pagination.
• Identify missing or problematic components in a digital project and be able to solve any issues.
• Layout and design skills to create and/or manipulate files for production.
• Excited to work in a fast paced environment meeting deadlines and having a sense of urgency when performing task.
• Be able to communicate well with both clients and team members.
• Be able to work independently with organization and efficiency.
• Required Skills:
• Must be proficient in working with all Adobe CS applications.
• A thorough understanding of digital file formats and color systems (pdf, tiff, eps, rgb, cmyk).
• Skills in manipulating/color adjust/layering PSD files and be able to create/manipulate vector files in AI.
• Color management skills and the ability to work with different digital file format.
• Familiar with different workflow software and RIP stations.
• Excellent oral and written communications.
• High priority in servicing clients.
• Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment being flexible to ever-changing priorities.

Your responsibilities will include all the above plus preparing work-orders with precise specs for production. Responding to customer emails, phone calls and in person handling client needs, pricing inquires, paper/printing recommendations, technical issues, and order status.

Pay, work experience, and skill level will determine salary.

Job Type: Full-time 40 hours per week

8:30am - 5:00pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm

Pay: $28.00 -$33.00 per hour
