About the job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team in the commercial construction glazing industry . The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of glazing systems, construction processes, and estimating techniques. This role involves preparing accurate and detailed estimates for large-scale commercial glazing projects , working closely with General Contractors (target customers), Architects, Vendors, and the Dynamic Glass PM, Ops, and Accounting departments.

Responsibilities:

• Review project drawings, specifications, addendums, schedules, and bid invite upfront documentation to determine project scope, material requirements, and labor costs.
• Analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring pricing is competitive and aligned with project needs. Negotiate contracts and cost pricing when necessary through collaboration/approval with management.
• Monitor and control project costs through the estimating process, ensuring that projects are awarded/contracted within budget. Recommend solutions for cost-saving measures without compromising quality through VE exercises.
• Identify potential risks and propose mitigating solutions, especially regarding materials, labor, timelines, and contract requirements.
• Provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle, including adjustments to estimates during the pre-construction phase and execution if required.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years experience in estimating for commercial glazing industry , with at least 3 years in a senior estimator or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of glazing systems , materials, and installation methods. Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software.
• Track record of successfully estimating and negotiating large, complex projects.
• Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine the reason for any discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Partner Pak/Gazier Studio, Bluebeam Construction Software, Microsoft Office, SalesForce or other similar CRM software is a plus.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
